1. What makes HID Signo Décor different from other HID Signo readers?
HID Signo mounts flush on standard electrical back boxes — sitting level with the wall rather than protruding from it. Its glass surface carries an IK10 impact rating, making it both beautiful and surprisingly strong.
2. Does HID Signo Décor support 125 kHz proximity credentials?
No. HID Signo Décor supports 13.56 MHz (NFC) and 2.4 GHz (Bluetooth) credentials only, including Seos, iCLASS, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire, HID Mobile Access, and credentials in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Customers with existing 125 kHz proximity deployments should consider standard HID Signo readers (Signo 20, 20K, 40, 40K), which support both legacy 125 kHz and modern credentials.
3. Can HID Signo Décor work with my existing access control system?
Yes. HID Signo Décor supports OSDP for secure, bidirectional communication, as well as Wiegand for compatibility with legacy access control panels. It works with the vast array of access control systems and controllers that already support HID Signo readers.
4. Is HID Signo Décor available as a standalone module for OEM integration?
Yes. HID Signo Décor is available as a complete reader or as a module for integration into intercoms, speed gates, elevators and other access hardware.
5. How is HID Signo Décor managed in larger deployments?
HID Signo Décor is managed remotely through HID Reader Manager and HID Linq, which support remote firmware updates, configuration and diagnostics. It also integrates with the HID Origo platform for centralized management and reporting across deployments.
