HID® Amico™ 7″ Facial Recognition Reader with SIP Intercom (VL70LF)

The HID Amico 7″ (VL70LF) is the large-screen model of the HID Amico range and the only one with a built-in SIP intercom. One device at the entrance identifies staff by face and lets visitors call reception, a guard desk or any SIP extension straight from its 7″ touchscreen.

Two 1080p cameras (visible and near-infrared light) feed Paravision’s AI algorithm, ranked in NIST’s global top 10. A face is matched within 0.2 seconds at up to 3 m, with a throughput of about 30 people per minute in 1:N mode, including in complete darkness (0 lux).

Key Features:

• Built-in SIP intercom — visitors without a credential place a call from the reader’s screen. Audio comes through the integrated speaker, with an audio line-out for an external amplifier or speaker. Access control and visitor calling are handled by a single unit at the door.
• 7″ HD touchscreen — 800 × 1280 capacitive display, large enough for the intercom interface, PIN entry and clear on-screen guidance.
• Five authentication methods — face, HF/LF card, HID Mobile Access with Google and Apple Wallet, static or dynamic (TOTP) QR code, and PIN. Methods can be combined for multi-factor access to sensitive areas.
• 50,000 faces as standard — five times the default capacity of the 3.5″ model, extendable to 100,000 enrolled faces with a pre-installed or in-field licence.
• More I/O on the terminal — 1 relay (NO/NC, 30 VAC/5 A) and 3 GPIO on the reader itself, a USB 2.0 host port, plus the supplied External Access Module (EAM) with its own relay, door sensor, exit button and Wiegand in/out.
• Privacy by design — optional Template on Card stores the biometric template on the user’s Seos credential instead of a central database. Presentation attack detection rejects photos and screen replays.
• Straightforward integration — OSDP v2.2 over RS-485, Wiegand through the EAM, an API for software integration and RTSP video streaming. Powered by 12 V DC or 802.3af PoE.
• Built for entrances — IP65-rated terminal, operating from -20 °C to 50 °C.

HID Amico 7″ vs HID Amico 3.5″:

• SIP intercom with speaker and audio line-out — not available on the HID Amico 3.5″ (VL35LF).
• Larger unit: 119.4 × 247 × 34.6 mm / 950 g, mounted at 1.50 m (3.5″: 86 × 142 × 26 mm / 345 g, at 1.40 m).
• Higher consumption: 600 mA idle / 1 A max at 12 V (3.5″: 400 mA / 600 mA).
• Default face capacity of 50,000 (3.5″: 10,000).
• Relay, 3 GPIO and USB host on the terminal, in addition to the EAM.
• Feedback through the screen and speaker; the 3.5″ uses a multicolour LED bar and buzzer.

Choose the HID Amico 7″ for main entrances and reception areas where the same reader must also handle visitors. For standard doors without visitor calls, the HID Amico 3.5″ is the more compact and economical option.
